Silencer: The following text is on how to construct a silencer for your potato gun.  There is two different silencer plans that I provide.  First you need to find the size of barrel your making the silencer for and will call that size *.  Secondly you need to find the size of pipe needed for the body of the silencer and we will call that *. 

 

IF *= 1/2" or 3/4"          then *= 1 1/2"

IF *= 1"                       then *= 2"

IF *= 1 1/2" or SDR-21   then *= 3"

IF *= 2"                       then *= 4"

IF *= 3"                       then *= 6"

 

Hopefully I havent confused you.  So once you have that figured out you can figure out what parts you need.

 

2x *x* bushing or reducer (basically the same thing)

1x 1 to 2 foot length of *

1x small amount of wall insulation or a pillows worth of cotton

 

On your 2 bushing or reducers you need to remove the rings that prevent the pipe from sliding all the way threw (this can be done with a dremel).
